Ok guys, really crappy to have to make this post but here we go:
Obviously it's hardly a secret that over the last few weeks the problems with getting people on for raids have been getting worse and worse. That coupled with the fact that there have been some people really slacking with afk's/performance/etc has given us a lot of grief (and in some cases been at least one of the causes of some ppl moving on).
Been talking it over in officer chat today (again) and I think I've held out long enough now before having to take any painful action. I've gone out recruiting on nearly every active forum I know about, but to no avail, so I'm afraid we've had to come to some fairly drastic decisions.
Raiding wise, the guild now dead in terms of getting enough for 25 mans. We could mass recruit but that will mean going back down into the previous instances, regearing a lot of new ppl, etc. While at some point I wouldnt have been opposed to this, personally speaking, I've had to rebuild the roster here twice before now, and I really dont have the energy or will to do it a 3rd time. So I'm afraid I'm going to take steps to start winding down the guild.
So what happens next? Well a few things. I wont be just suddenly disbanding it, so those that want to stay in are welcome to do so and I wont suddenly start pushing ppl out, but it wont be on the basis of us doing any formal raiding.
Obviously I know that there are a lot here who still very much want to raid, all I can really do is apologise that it's ended up coming to this, and wish you well in wherever you decide to go to carry on doing that.
The final thing is that i've been having a word with a few guilds around on the server to see if there's any chance of doing any form of a merge. After having a word with Wildhorn in IE and there is a chance (note the word chance!) that we could possibly sort out a few raiders merging with them as they have been having some problems with their core attendance lately aswell. I'm offering absolutely no guarantees to anyone about this, it might be that it cant end up happening at all and ppl will just need to sort out what they wish to do on their own, but I'll at least do my best to try sort something out. So for anyone who would be interested in this, please reply on this thread so that I know. I'll leave it till the end of Wednesday before taking the names and speaking to IE again, so you have till then to reply (bear in mind you'd have to fit in with their raid times/schedule to do this).
Other than that, just to repeat that I'm sorry that it's ended up coming to this, and I'm pretty gutted about it, but people know what it's been like the last few weeks, so I think we need to face up to it.
This Monday's raid will be cancelled (doubt we will have enuough on for it anyway) but will try to do one final normal totc25 run on wednesday providng enough are on.
Sorry again for the grim news :S If anyones got any questions just give me a shout in game.
Thanks Cycho

Fair enough really, has been some good times and bad times in this guild, but I guess this has been coming for a month or so now.
Thanks for the huge effort you have put into running this guild cycho, have seen some of the best raiding in my time on WOW in NR.
Personally I am winding down my WOW playing as well, and have only been on for progress raids recently as it is. Blizzard have really failed with recyclable content in this game now, and other computer games are simply more fun. All that wow has is a decent community.
I think NR would do well downsizing to a 10man raid guild, as there are some really solid core members still. The greatest progress always seems to have been in 10man anyway. Anyway I guess that is up to whoever is willing to try it. I'm gonna lurk about incase of ongoing activity.
